Ten days without.... Book Review

Ten days without by Daniel Day really made me step back and see LIFE from other people's perspective... people that most people don't normally give a second thought to.

Daniel Day did not just write the book about other's lives either... he actually lived each one for ten days. Ten days with no shoes, ten days in a wheelchair, ten days without talking. To me, he raised awareness about a lot of issues I was not fully aware of.

Women of Christmas

This was a great book for my to dive into before the Christmas holidays and it was a nice and different Christmas read!
It only took me a few days to read it and this book takes a look at the lives of Elizabeth, Mary and Anna and their relationship to the birth of Christ. Liz Curtis Higgs does a wonderful job of referring to the Scriptures and the cultural background of the times, to give us glimpses into these women's lives.

I loved the study guide in the back of the book too and plan on using this in our study group next winter season!

Knowing God by Name Review

Knowing God by Name by Sharon Jaynes, Gwen Smith & Mary Southerland is a eight week study devotional type book that covers character qualities of our everlasting Father in Heaven! This book is more than an excellent bible study it is an adventure of faith! You can do this study alone or in a group setting! There are stories, biblical facts, prayers, and more!
My favorite part are the reflection questions; I answer them in my own journal and it helps me go back and look deeper into what I just read/learned!

The Girlfriends in God are Mary Southerland, Gwen Smith, and Sharon Jaynes. Known for their popular online devotions, all three are popular conference speakers who share a heart for encouraging and equipping women in their spiritual journey. Read more about each of them and get extras for the book here  Girlfriends in God Don't forget to sign up for their daily devotional!

Godonomics Review

This book is different than any other book I have ever read and isn't like the one's I normally pick out to read! I am so glad I took the chance with this one though- My husband even read it after me and thoroughly enjoyed it! Godonomics by Chad Hovind outlines exactly what our country needs to save itself- GOD!
Everyone should read this book!

It is written clearly so anyone can read it and understand it! Chad Hovind ventures into subjects that most people try to avoid, but they greatly need to be discussed with today's economy in America! Hovind approaches each section with scripture from The Bible to back it up with. I was given this book by WaterBrook Multnomah for my honest review.

Wife After God (A 30 day marriage devotional for wives) -Review

This is not your normal devotional and it is one you will want to do over and over again! Reading this 30 day devotional and doing the study questions has proven to be a blessing to me and to my husband! I received my copy of Wife After God by Unveiled Wife (given to me at no cost for my heart felt honest review) during a difficult time in my marriage. This devotional helped me grow closer to my husband by helping me have a more fulfilling relationship with God. Marriage is a life time commitment and something that must be worked on every day- it is not something that just makes it self over night! This book has inspired me to want to glorify God (more) and be the wife he created me to be! It's a daily reminder that we, as women, were called by God to be helpers to our husbands. This book helped me see my husband in a whole new light and as God's creation!

I love the Jennifer's style of writing- it feels as if she's writing all about me and in a warm inviting way! My favorite part of this devotional, Wife After God, were the daily challenges-- Taking time to bless another wife today or finding a way to bless your marriage.
I highly recommend to everyone (even single women preparing to one day be the wives God created them to be).

One Month To LOVE.

I was excited when I received this book because I have been to Kerry shook's church and have heard him preach! I adore him and was excited to get started on this one month journey to LOVE the people around me. This book is not just about romantic love, it is about loving all those around you with the love God shows us. At the end of each day all that matters is your RELATIONSHIPS; your relationship with God, your spouse, your children, family, friends and not material things that can be gone the next day.

Will you take this one month challenge?? All it takes is one chapter a day!

I was given this book for free from Waterbrook Press for my review.

Untamed - Be free!

Lisa Harper hooked me from page one; she is funny and relatable! A great book for me who was once a "bad girl" and now striving to change my ways and be more like Jesus Christ!
